Mechanical Fitter

£16.72 per hour | 6 month contract Burton upon Trent Days only with early Friday finish

Hours: 07:00 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 13:00 Friday

The Role

We are recruiting a Mechanical Fitter to support a busy Fuel Shop operation based in Burton upon Trent. This is a hands on position within a regulated engineering environment, focused on the inspection, installation, testing, fault finding and maintenance of fuel systems and associated test equipment supporting engine testing activity.

Key Duties

Fault find and diagnose fuel system issues linked to testing operations Install, inspect and repair fuel systems and associated components Test fuel pumps and injectors, accurately recording results Carry out routine and preventative maintenance on test rigs Essential Skills

Experience working in a fast paced, deadline driven engineering environment Good knowledge of fuel system components including pumps and injectors Clear focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement Desirable

Background in rail or automotive environments Experience working in regulated or safety critical settings Why Apply
