This is an excellent opportunity to join an experienced and supportive team, producing high-quality engineered products to exacting standards.The RoleAs a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for producing and assembling company products in line with technical drawings and written specifications. This is a hands-on role requiring precision, technical understanding, and a strong commitment to quality.Key ResponsibilitiesCarrying out sub-assembly production fitting and final assembly operationsAssembling mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic componentsProducing and building fabricated assemblies of varying size and complexity, including:Marking out and cutting materialsFolding and pipe bendingWeld joint preparationHydraulic and pneumatic system installationGeneral production build assembliesInspecting completed assemblies to ensure alignment, dimensions, and quality standards are metAdhering to all Health & Safety policies and proceduresMaintaining a safe working environment for yourself and colleaguesWorking HoursMonday to Thursday: 7:30am 4:30pmFriday: 7:30am 2:00pm (Early Finish)40 hours per weekOvertime availableWhat Were Looking ForEssential:Strong engineering background with relevant industry experienceAbility to read and interpret manufacturing, GA, and sub-assembly drawingsConfident using hand and power toolsWorking knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systemsExcellent attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamRight to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)Desirable:Experience in vehicle fabrication/fittingBackground in aviation, military, marine or similar industriesBasic electrical assembly experience and ability to read circuit drawingsSalary & Benefits£13.50 £16.80 per hour (DOE)Production bonusTool bonusOvertime opportunitiesBenefits Package:23 days holiday + bank holidaysIncreasing to 24 days after 5 yearsIncreasing to 25 days after 10 yearsCompany pension schemeLife insuranceFree on-site parkingEmployee benefits portal with discounts & wellbeing supportCareer progression opportunitiesOngoing skills development within a supportive engineering teamJBRP1_UKTJ
