Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – £50,000
Location: Temple
Salary: £47,000 - £50,000
Hours: Monday to Thursday (16:00 - 02:00am) & Off Fridays
We are working with a prestigious client who is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to oversee mechanical PPMs, reactive maintenance, and general building services for a large site near Temple Station. In return, you’ll receive a competitive salary between £47,000 - £50,000, clear career progression, generous overtime, and a supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out daily PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems
- Respond promptly to emergency callouts and resolve issues efficiently
- Maintain and repair HVAC plant, AHUs, FCUs, VAV, VRV systems, and water treatment equipment
- Work on general building maintenance tasks as required, including pumps, boilers, drainage, and plumbing
- Conduct fault-finding and repair on key mechanical systems
- Operate and manage BMS (Building Management System) and Head End Controls
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
- Must have L8
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and ability to diagnose faults effectively
- 5 years + as a mechanical engineer in an office or similar environment
- Must be willing to learn and have a positive attitude to taking on tasks/learning on the job
- Has excellent fault-finding skills. - Majority of the fault finding will be done at night time
- Has experience in changing parts on FCU e.g. fixing valves, actuators, motors.
- Driving License
