Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Canary Wharf, E14
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
Salary: Up to £49,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)
About the Role
A leading FM provider is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a high-profile data centre contract in Canary Wharf. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a critical environment for a well-established company known for delivering first-class service and offering strong career progression.
Key Responsibilities
Working as part of a team of M&E engineers on a site-based contract
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
Managing PPM schedules, logbooks, and compliance documentation
Completing PPM tasks across a range of building services systems, including:
AHUs (Air Handling Units)
FCUs (Fan Coil Units)
Plant room equipment
Emergency lighting
Fire alarms
General lighting systems
Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety regulationsRequirements
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
City & Guilds Level 2 or 3
Plumbing Level 2 or 3 (desirable)
Strong background in building services / facilities maintenance
Experience working in a critical environment (data centres but not essential)
Client-facing experience with strong communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a teamAbout the Company
