About the Role:

SRG are seeking a proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a successful and growing client based near Leeds, West Yorkshire. Reporting to the Engineering Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, supporting production uptime and maintaining a safe working environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to build their skillset, with extensive training and development available.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections and deliver effective PPM activities Respond promptly to time‑critical breakdowns to minimise downtime Ensure all work is carried out safely, following permit-to-work, compliance and site safety procedures Accurately log activities, faults, and maintenance tasks, ensuring smooth shift handovers Collaborate closely with Operations teams and external contractors to resolve issues efficiently.

Criteria:

Mechanical qualification Experience working with pumps, gearboxes, pneumatics, steam systems, filling machinery.
