Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Plumber – Reading, Berkshire - Up to £40,000 Per annum
An exciting opportunity to work for an established FM service provider situated in Reading, Berkshire. My client is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer /plumber to be based on a commercial site located near Reading, Berkshire. The successful candidate will be mechanically qualified/biased (C&G or NVQ) and have a good understanding of building services.
The ideal candidate for the role will be someone recently qualified and looking for a role that will further their knowledge and practical understanding. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary, overtime, and the chance to work at this very unique and interesting site.
Working with the maintenance team on-site, He or she will be required to carry out mechanical and fabric maintenance to the following;
\n Building Management Systems & Electrical Monitoring.
\n
HVAC Systems, Including Humidifiers.
\n
Air Handling, Air Conditioning & Chillers.
\n
Sound knowledge of VAV & FCU Systems.
\n
Domestic Water Services & Plumbing.
\n
Pumps, Motors & Variable Speed Drive.
\n
Gas Boilers.
\n
Hot Water Calorifiers
\n
Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
\n
Water Treatment
\n
Plumbing - Unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers etc
\n
Monitor the BMS systems
\n
General building fabric
\n
Hours of Work & Salary
\n Up to £40,000 per annum
\n
Monday to Friday (40 hour week)
\n
Days - 07:00 – 16:00 / 08:00 - 17:00 / 09:00 -18:00
\n
23 Days Annual Leave
\n
Overtime available
\n
Call out 1 in 4 - £105 per week
\n
Requirements
\n Mechanical / plumbing qualifications - NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2
\n
You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
\n
A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
\n
Pressure Systems Certification of Competencies.
\n
Legionella Awareness – L8 ACOP
\n
Multi-skilled
\n
Good communication skills
\n
Highly desirable (Not essential)
\n
Any further qualifications (i.e. Electrical or Air Conditioning etc)
\n
