This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest-producing facilities in Europe, operating within a dusty but cutting-edge environment filled with modern automated machinery.The RoleAs a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide range of production equipment. Your key responsibilities include:Key DutiesMechanical fault finding and repair across fast-paced production machineryConducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM)Responding to breakdowns and reducing engineering downtimeWorking on conveyors, mixers, ovens, and kilnsSupporting the wider engineering team within a highly automated environmentEnsuring all engineering activities are carried out safely and efficientlyWorking Hours / Overtime Structure4 on 4 off, rotating days and nights296 banked hours annually, reducing to 206 hours after daily handover (5:30-6:00)206 hours is equivalent to 18 days of overtime per yearOvertime during holiday cover on weekends is paid at time and a halfAny other overtime is also paid at time and a halfAbout You - Essential CriteriaMust be mechanically qualified (NVQ Level 3 or above)Experience within FMCG or heavy industrial environmentsStrong mechanical fault-finding skillsAbility to work effectively in a dusty, high-output manufacturing siteIndustries ConsideredFMCGHeavy Industrial / ProcessAutomated manufacturing environmentsEnvironment & MachineryDusty environment with state-of-the-art automationWorking on equipment such as:ConveyorsMixersOvensKilnsTeam StructureYou will join a large engineering team of around 20 engineers, offering strong peer support, cross-training and excellent knowledge sharing.Benefits£55,000 salary + up to £3,000 bonus15% pension (10% employer contribution)Overtime paid at time and a halfOpportunity to work at one of the fastest-producing manufacturing sites in EuropeCareer development and progression opportunitiesWhy Is This Role Available?Position has become available due to an engineer leaving the business.Interview ProcessStage 1: Informal technical conversation with Carl, focused on experience and CV details.Stage 2: On-site interview with an engineer.
