Mechanical Maintenance Fitter - Radcliffe. Permanent opportunity.
Main Responsibility: To ensure smooth and reliable operation of equipment and machinery by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing repairs, along with fast and effective response to equipment break downs.
Main Duties:
* Carrying out all tasks in a safe and efficient manner
* Complete ad hoc repairs to various mechanical equipment
* Maintenance of pneumatics motor gearboxes and pumps
* Prioritising workload throughout shift
* Good and effective communication with all departments across site
* Work collaboratively with the operations team to drive year on year OEE improvement
* Suggest and implement improvements
* Attend tier meetings as appropriate
Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience:
Essential/Required: Minimum of 5 years maintenance engineering experience. Experience working with pumps, gearboxes, chairs and drives. Pneumatic knowledge. Organisational skills. Time management skills. Computer literate. Effective teamwork.
Desirable: Previous experience within a manufacturing environment Knowledge of hydraulic systems Knowledge of electrical systems Previous experience of working at height/within confined spaces Previous experience of forklift operations Previous experience of cherry picker operations.
