Mechanical Project Manager\nContract\nCity of London\n\n1st Step Solutions are supporting a leading Tier 1 M&E Contractor who have an opportunity for a Mechanical Project Manager to join them on an existing commercial project in Central London.\n\nTo be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record in project management, particularly within residential or similar related projects with values up to £30million. Ideally, you will have experience of demonstrating responsibility for full Contract Management at this level.\n\nResponsibilities:\n - The primary focus of this role will include the overall supervision and performance of the operational project team to ensure that all activities meet the programme, cost, safety and quality objectives of the Project.\n- Overall responsibility of the Building Services installation on your projects .\n- Deliver a quality installation, in line with client's expectations, maximise the profitability and driving our cost whilst maintaining our standards.\n- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget to agreed standards and ensure the project budget and costs are managed effectively.\n- Manage staff performance on the project by ensuring they have clear roles and responsibilities.\n - Promote Health & Safety at all times, ensuring risks are identified and mitigation measures are put in place.\n- Share best practice and promote innovation.\n- Be responsible for commissioning a smooth final handover.\n\nRequirements:\n - HNC/HND Building Services qualification or above - Desirable.\n- CSCS.\n- SMSTS.\n- Mechanical qualification within pipefitting.\n- Experience of working at a senior level on M&E projects, as well as ideally having had responsibility for full contract management.\n- Effective communicator at all levels.\n- Capability to accept responsibilities and accomplish project objectives in a timely manner.\n- Good computer skills especially with Microsoft Office.\n- Be aware of health and safety requirements and the continual assessment/control of risk.\n- Able to develop and maintain good working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
