We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead the delivery of a £7m residential development in Hackney. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all mechanical building services elements from pre-construction through to handover.
You will ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all mechanical services packages including HVAC, public health, domestic water, heating systems, and ventilation.
* Oversee design coordination and technical submissions.
* Liaise with client, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams.
* Develop and manage project programmes and procurement schedules.
* Monitor budgets, cost control, and variations.
* Ensure compliance with building regulations, health & safety legislation, and company standards.
* Lead commissioning, snagging, and handover processes.
* Attend site meetings and provide regular progress reports to senior management.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager on residential developments (£5m+ ).
* Strong knowledge of HVAC and building services systems.
* Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
* Commercial awareness and budget management skills.
* Familiarity with UK Building Regulations and CDM.
* SMSTS qualification ().
* Relevant mechanical or building services qualification (HNC/HND/Degree)
