Mechanical Project Manager / Quality Manager (QM SQEP)

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager / Quality Manager (QM SQEP) to lead and oversee mechanical installation works at a metal refinery plant in Royston. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on the installation of:
Chilled pipework PVDF plastic pipework LTHW pipeworkYou will be responsible for managing the mechanical scope of works, ensuring quality compliance, and producing key documentation including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Plans (QPs), and Weld Procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage mechanical installation activities on-site. Develop and maintain ITPs, QPs, and weld procedures in line with project and industry standards. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental protocols. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams. Conduct inspections and audits to ensure quality assurance. Report progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
Requirements
Proven experience in industrial or pharmaceutical environments. Strong background in mechanical project management and quality assurance. Familiarity with chilled water systems, PVDF piping, and LTHW systems. Ability to produce and manage ITPs, QPs, and weld documentation. SQEP (Suitably Qualified and Experienced Person) status or equivalent. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
