Where will you be working?

MEICA and capital maintenance - Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one-stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services.

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for maintaining various water assets, including:

CSO Valves

Penstocks

Hydraulic Power Units

Isolation Gates

Inspection of chambers and valve equipment

Inspection of fixed equipment

What we need from you?

You’ll have proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role

You'll have strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.

You’ll have demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.

Be effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

You’ll have problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a focus on delivering efficient and effective solutions.

What’s essential?

Previous mechanical experience

Trained or qualified as an apprentice, or to an equivalent NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering

Successful completion of ONC/HNC in Engineering, NVQ, or C&G Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering

Excellent attention to detail

Strong focus on safety and quality, with a collaborative teamwork approach

Full UK driver’s license

Advantageous:

Experience with mobile plant (FLT, MEWP)

Work at Height certification

Manual Handling qualification

Confined Space Entry experience

Pendent Crane use experience
