A client within the Public Sector based in Cheshire is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Services Engineer to join their Building Services team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a building services environment.

The Role Key purpose of the role is to  work as part of the Building Services Team on mechanical services response maintenance work and, when directed, on mechanical engineering elements of the planned programme and capital works. The successful applicant will also lead and direct multi-disciplinary design teams to deliver improvement and refurbishment projects from feasibility to completion.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Provide guidance, specifications, and drawings for a range of mechanical services maintenance work. Assess planned preventative maintenance certification and reports, and agree repair and remedial works. Lead on mechanical minor works projects (e.g. boiler replacements) and provide input to larger multi-disciplinary projects. Commission and co-ordinate surveys, manage contractors, and monitor quality, costs, and programme delivery.
