Job Description

Mechanical Shift Engineer 4 on 4 off days and nights\n\nPaying up to £51,000 + Package\n\nJob purpose\n\nWorking in a brand new state of the art smart building, reporting to the Contract Manager you will be working within the engineering maintenance team. You will provide all round engineering support maintaining the buildings infrastructures. You will have a detailed understanding of all new or current Building Services systems and contingency procedures within the buildings and complying with the Health & Safety/building codes of practice.\n\nWith the nature of our client’s business and continued up time being a priority, means essential maintenance may need to be carried outside of normal hours and therefore a flexible approach to work is essential.\n\nDuties\n\n * Issue relevant site Permits as part of the Safe System of Work\n\n * Completion of PPM and reactive tasks for their respective shift team\n\n * Identification of materials required to be ordered in a timely manner and completion of the internal Materials Request Form (MRF1)\n\n * Maintain effective shift handovers\n\n * including critical plant status, plant isolations, issues arising, ongoing works, special task requests, standard of housekeeping\n\n * ensure that the shift log is accurately completed by the end of their shift and paperwork is filled in correctly and kept up to date\n\n * Timely implementation and recording of statutory inspections including accurate recording annual plant inspections\n\n * Control of 3rd party contractors including monitoring of work performance and standards, including internal auditing where applicable in conjunction with the Shift Manager\n\n * AC, DC single phase and three phase motors\n\n * AHU’s\n\n * Plumbing\n\n * Smoke dampers\n\n * Lighting control systems
