Mechanical Shift Engineer\n\nCity of London\n4 on 4 off – Days Only (7am–7pm)\nUp to £52,000 per annum\n20 Days Shift Leave\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nWe are currently recruiting for a skilled Mechanical Shift Engineer to join a prestigious commercial site in the City of London. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a days-only shift role within a well-established building services provider offering a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and genuine career progression.\n\nWorking a 4 on 4 off days-only pattern, you’ll be part of a dedicated on-site engineering team responsible for maintaining critical mechanical plant and ensuring the smooth operation of the building.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs)\n\n * \n\n Reactive maintenance and mechanical fault finding\n\n * \n\n Maintenance of:\n\n * \n\n HVAC systems\n\n * \n\n Pumps and valves\n\n * \n\n Boilers\n\n * \n\n Chillers\n\n * \n\n Air Handling Units (AHUs)\n\n * \n\n Fan Coil Units (FCUs)\n\n * \n\n Monitoring plant performance and ensuring maximum uptime\n\n * \n\n Supporting compliance tasks and statutory testing\n\n * \n\n Working alongside electrical engineers within a shift team\n\n * \n\n Escorting subcontractors and ensuring safe systems of work\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\n * \n\n NVQ / City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)\n\n * \n\n Proven experience in commercial building services maintenance\n\n * \n\n Strong fault-finding skills on mechanical plant\n\n * \n\n Experience working within plant rooms and critical environments\n\n * \n\n Good understanding of health & safety procedures\n\n * \n\n Team player with strong communication skills\n\nSalary & Benefits\n\n * \n\n Basic salary up to £52,000\n\n * \n\n 4 on 4 off – Days only (7am–7pm)\n\n * \n\n 20 days shift leave\n\n * \n\n Company pension scheme\n\n * \n\n Overtime available\n\n * \n\n Ongoing training and development\n\n * \n\n Clear progression opportunities\n\n * \n\n Access to Perkbox benefits platform\n\n * \n\n Private healthcare\n\nIf you are a Mechanical Shift Engineer looking for a well-paid, days-only shift role in the City of London with excellent benefits and career prospects, apply today to be considered
