Mechanical Manager – High Rise Residential
Birmingham
Up to £75,000 + Package
£100m+ High-Rise Apartment Development
A leading main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Manager to join the delivery team on a major £100m+ high-rise residential development in Birmingham.
This is a key role within the project team, responsible for overseeing the mechanical installation packages across a large-scale apartment scheme, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
The Role
Working closely with the Project Director, MEP team, consultants and subcontractors, you will take responsibility for the coordination and delivery of all mechanical services across the development.
Key responsibilities will include:

Managing the mechanical services packages on a large high-rise residential project
*
Coordinating subcontractors, consultants and site teams to ensure works are delivered in line with programme
*
Overseeing installation of HVAC, domestic water services, heating systems and associated plant
*
Ensuring all works meet quality, safety and regulatory standards
*
Managing technical queries, design coordination and site inspections
*
Supporting commissioning and handover phases of the mechanical systems
*
Monitoring programme, progress and subcontractor performance
What We’re Looking For
*
Strong mechanical background, ideally from an M&E subcontractor or main contractor environment
*
Experience delivering large residential or high-rise construction projects
*
Proven track record managing mechanical packages on complex builds
*
Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and technical stakeholders
*
Strong understanding of mechanical building services installation and commissioning
