Mechanical Technician-Perm-Farnham

Our client, a well-established engineering organisation, is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join their maintenance team supporting oil production and gas processing facilities.

Key responsibilities for the Mechanical Technician:

*

Planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on plant equipment

*

Servicing pumps, valves, compressors, motors, and associated systems

*

Supporting vendor maintenance on specialist equipment

*

Fault-finding, repairs, inspections, and maintenance reporting

*

Carrying out equipment isolations and working to permit systems

*

Assisting with new equipment installation and commissioning

*

Working with contractors and maintaining high housekeeping standards

*

Providing out-of-hours support or call-out cover where required

Requirements for the Mechanical Technician:

*

Mechanical apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)

*

4+ years’ maintenance experience in an industrial or oil & gas environment

*

Able to work independently with minimal supervision

*

Strong safety awareness and problem-solving skills

Team player with good communication skills

*

Reliable, proactive, and able to work under pressure
