Because of continued demand of their services, this employer is actively recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Technician to join their team on a permanent basis.

Working in the Service Department, the successful Mechanical Technician will work within a skilled team and be responsible for servicing, repairing and overhauling industrial gearboxes to an OEM condition.

This employer is based near CUMBERNAULD , meaning the successful candidate will easily be able to commute from various pars of Glasgow & Falkirk.

The ideal Mechanical Technician will possess:
NOT ESSENTIAL: Possess formal qualifications within Mechanical Engineering or similar (Apprenticeship, City & Guilds, NVQ, BTEC, HNC, HND or equivalent)
Have stable work history with experience working as a Mechanical Technician, Fitter, Assembler or similar within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Ideally have experience working with some form of rotating equipment, gearboxes, pumps, valves, compressors, turbines, fans or similar

Working Hours of the Mechanical Technician :
Regular day shift working 39 hours per week
Monday to Thursday - 08:00 to 17:00
Friday - 08:00 to 15:45
In return, the Mechanical Technician will receive:
Staring Salary: Up to £35,000.00 (£17.25 per hour)
Guaranteed bonus up to £2,600 paid in December
Generous Pension Scheme: 25% Final Salary (Employer Contribution: 17% / Employee Contribution: 8%)
Holiday Allowance: 34 Days (including public holidays) rising with continued service
