The below job description will outline this position of: Mechanical Technician Typically, this person will become a Service Engineer joining a busy workshop team, working primarily in-house, but with occasional site/field work.

You will be involved in the repair, overhaul, maintenance and servicing of marine mechanical driveline equipment.

Duties and responsibilities of the Mechanical Technician: You will: Strip, examine, diagnose, and repair customer equipment in the workshop as directed by the Workshop Manager/Foreman.

Carry out repairs, maintenance and servicing at customer premises or other sites when required.

Work on a wide range of marine and off-highway driveline systems and components.

Adhere to all company working practices, safety standards and reporting procedures.

Complete all required job documentation and any other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and requirements for the Mechanical Technician: Recognised qualification or proven industry experience in mechanical engineering.

Comprehensive engineering knowledge and strong awareness of safety requirements.

Sound knowledge of general engineering equipment service and repair Competent in using measuring equipment.

Basic knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems beneficial.
