An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced Medical Negligence Solicitor (NQ to Grade C level) to join a leading legal team known for excellence in claimant medical negligence work.


About the Role


This is an excellent next step for a solicitor seeking to develop within a dynamic and supportive environment. The successful candidate will work closely with senior lawyers and accredited specialists, assisting with a varied caseload of medical negligence matters from initial instruction through to trial.


You’ll have the opportunity to:


  • Manage your own caseload under supervision, ensuring progress and quality outcomes
  • Contribute to litigation and settlement strategies across the team
  • Support and mentor more junior colleagues, helping to build skills and confidence
  • Work collaboratively to achieve team performance and client service goals


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage your own caseload effectively, ensuring cases progress efficiently and to a high standard
  • Support the wider team in delivering excellent client service and meeting financial and performance targets
  • Plan and agree case tactics with senior team members
  • Drive proactive case progression, including settlement and litigation as required
  • Draft key legal documentation, including letters of claim and instructions
  • Liaise with clients, experts, and counsel throughout the case lifecycle
  • Provide guidance to junior staff and contribute to continuous team improvement


About You:


  • Qualified Solicitor (NQ–5 years PQE) or equivalent experience in medical negligence
  • Proven experience managing your own caseload
  • Strong communication, drafting, and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and commercial awareness
  • Proficient with case management systems and Microsoft Office
  • A collaborative, proactive, and client-focused approach
  • Willingness to mentor and support others within the team
