Job Description
MEICA Manager / Lead - United Utilities Framework\n\nWe're seeking an experienced MEICA Manager / Lead to oversee the delivery of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control (MEICA) works across multiple infrastructure projects. You'll provide technical leadership from design through commissioning, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective delivery aligned with client requirements.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nMEICA Leadership & Delivery\n\n * Lead all MEICA activities from project initiation through to completion\n\n * Ensure designs are buildable and challenge solutions through value engineering\n\n * Provide technical leadership across mechanical, electrical and control systems\n\n * Manage a MEICA team working closely with civil, design, and delivery teams\n\n * Coordinate MEICA design, interfaces, and interdependencies across programmes\n\n * Lead both complex and non-complex projects to time, cost, and quality targets\n\nCommercial, Programme & Supply Chain\n\n * Manage operational and financial performance, including forecasting and reporting\n\n * Oversee procurement, supply chain performance, and contractor delivery\n\n * Allocate resources effectively to meet programme demands\n\n * Support tendering and work-winning activities\n\nHealth, Safety & Quality\n\n * Lead MEICA health & safety, including electrical safety procedures\n\n * Promote a strong safety culture across all projects\n\n * Ensure commissioning plans, ITPs, and quality documentation are in place\n\n * Oversee daily operations to ensure safe, compliant delivery\n\nStakeholder & Client Management\n\n * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners\n\n * Manage stakeholder communications and key project messages\n\n * Work collaboratively with project and change teams to ensure consistent delivery\n\n * Resolve technical and delivery challenges in partnership with stakeholders\n\nAbout You\nEssential\n\n * Proven experience as a MEICA Project Manager or Lead delivering multiple projects\n\n * Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills\n\n * Methodical approach with a strong focus on quality and client outcomes\n\n * Confident problem-solver with the ability to manage complex interfaces\n\nDesirable\n\n * Degree / HND / HNC (or equivalent)\n\n * APM membership or certification (or equivalent experience)\n\n * SMSTS / SSSTS\n\n * CSCS card\n\n * First Aid qualification
