Ivy Resource Group are recruiting for a talented and experienced M&E Senior Quantity Surveyor to support commercial operations across a range of major MEP projects. Our client is a Tier 1 contractor seeking a driven professional to join their South Wales & West region on a permanent basis, based between their Clevedon office and regional sites, with flexible working offered.

\n\nThe role entails:\n

This is a key position responsible for ensuring the successful commercial management and financial completion of MEP projects. You'll be overseeing project cost control, contractual administration, and mentoring junior surveyors. The role involves close collaboration with Contracts Managers, Pre-Construction, and Senior Commercial Management.

\n

You will manage multiple projects simultaneously and contribute to risk management, cost forecasting, subcontractor procurement, and final account settlement.

\n

\n\nWhat You Will Be Doing:\n

\n \n Oversee commercial aspects of multiple MEP projects

\n

\n

\n Produce accurate monthly cost/value reports and forecasts

\n

\n

\n Liaise with Contracts Managers on project commercial performance

\n

\n

\n Supervise and mentor junior commercial staff

\n

\n

\n Prepare and review sub-contracts and negotiate terms

\n

\n

\n Submit main contract applications and ensure timely cash collection

\n

\n

\n Support final account negotiation and settlement

\n

\n

\n Assist with pre-construction commercial input and risk management

\n

\n

\n Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and internal procedures

\n

\n

\n Conduct subcontractor performance reviews and ensure timely payments

\n

\n

\n Contribute to dispute avoidance and resolution

\n

\n

\n Coordinate and lead commercial meetings

\n

\n

\n\nWhat We Need From You:\n

\n \n Proven experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role, ideally in MEP/Building Services

\n

\n

\n Strong understanding of construction industry practices and stakeholders

\n

\n

\n Knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g. NEC, JCT)

\n

\n

\n Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings/specifications

\n

\n

\n Experience producing accurate cost reports and forecasts

\n

\n

\n Commercially astute with negotiation and contract drafting skills

\n

\n

\n Knowledge of CIS and payment procedures

\n

\n

\n Excellent communication and leadership skills

\n

\n

\n Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with COINS desirable

\n

\n

\n Experience with final accounts, value engineering, and dispute resolution

\n

\n

\n Experience working on health, education, commercial and mixed-use developments

\n

\n

\n RICS or similar professional membership (preferred but not essential)

\n

\n

\n Ability to adapt to change and work flexibly across multiple projects

\n

\n

\n\nSalary & Benefits:\n

\n \n £75,000 - £85,000
