About Us
We are a growing IT services business supporting a mix of modern Microsoft 365 environments and on-prem infrastructure. We already have strong desktop support capability and are now looking to bring in an engineer who can take ownership of our cloud, identity, device management, and network infrastructure.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being the technical escalation point, shaping standards, and helping move environments forward rather than just keeping the lights on.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced engineer to take responsibility for our Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and core networking platforms.
You will work alongside our desktop engineers, providing technical leadership, handling escalations, and designing and improving customer and internal systems.
This is a hands-on role with real influence over how things are built and managed.
Key Responsibilities
Microsoft 365 / Cloud
Administration and optimisation of Microsoft 365 environments
Managing Entra ID (Azure AD) users, groups, conditional access, MFA, and security controls
Implementing and maintaining Intune for device compliance, configuration profiles, and app deployment
Supporting hybrid identity environments (on-prem AD + Entra ID)
Working with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams
Networking & Infrastructure
Configuration and support of routers, switches, and firewalls
VLANs, IP addressing, DHCP/DNS, VPNs, and site-to-site connectivity
Troubleshooting complex network and connectivity issues
Working with both on-prem servers and cloud-integrated environments
Engineering & Escalation
Acting as an escalation point for the desktop support team
Designing and documenting standards, best practices, and procedures
Leading or contributing to infrastructure projects and migrations
Improving security posture and resilience across customer environments
Essential Skills & Experience
Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration
Solid understanding of Entra ID (Azure AD)
Hands-on experience with Intune / Endpoint Manager
Good networking knowledge (routers, switches, firewalls, TCP/IP)
Experience supporting or managing Windows Server & Active Directory
Confident troubleshooting complex, multi-layered technical issues
Desirable (Nice to Have)
Experience in an MSP or multi-tenant environment
Security tooling (Conditional Access, Defender, MFA strategies)
Backup, email security, or third-party M365 integrations
PowerShell scripting
Documentation and process improvement experience
