Microsoft 365 Team LeadSalary:c. £65,000 per annumHours:35 hours per weekContract:PermanentLocation:Hybrid (Office: West Bromwich)We are looking for a highly skilled Microsoft M365 Team Lead with extensive experience across the Microsoft technology stack, including both cloud-based solutions (Microsoft 365, Azure) and traditional IT infrastructure (Active Directory, DNS, Networking). The ideal candidate will play a key role in owning, designing, implementing, and supporting secure and scalable Microsoft solutions for our organization.The Microsoft 365 Team Lead (M365) works closely with all areas of the business to ensure that the M365 suite is being utilised to its full potential to simplify and modernise all aspects of business process.You will liaise with users, architects, project teams and suppliers to ensure that the best solutions are being implemented and that they are maintained in an efficient and secure mannerWhat the role will look like:Manage the team responsible for the design and delivery of Microsoft 365 technologies, with particular focus on Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, and associated identity, access, device, Purview and policy management capabilitiesProvide hands on technical leadership across the end-to-end project lifecycle (discovery, workshops, design, build, test, implementation, and deployment), ensuring secure, high quality outcomes and predictable deliveryHold overall accountability for technical quality and governance on Intune and Entra ID workstreams, ensuring the right SMEs/architects are engaged, designs are reviewed, risks are understood, and solutions meet security, compliance, and operational requirements.Proactively escalate and manage risk of overruns with the Project Management Office function and collaborate with Project Managers in resource planning ensuring the team is fully utilised.Contribute to post-project reviews, lessons learned and Continuous Service Improvement meetings and help identify improvements in how services are delivered and consumedDrive repeatable delivery through standards, templates, and automation (e.g., PowerShell), improving quality, speed, and consistency across client engagements.Drive efficiency in project delivery through the adoption of repeatable processes and automation. Ensure AI adoption is at the core of our service evolution.Stay updated on the latest trends, features, and updates of Microsoft 365, and share your knowledge and insights with the team and the communityProactively collaborate with the Service Desk Manager to ensure projects are effectively transitioned into operationsFor more information about the role, please refer to the job description attached at the bottom of the advertWhat you will bring to the role:Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 architecture, administration, security, and governanceProficient in PowerShell, with practical experience automating and operating Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune at scale.Related Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365, Security, Identity, and Endpoint/Intune), or equivalent demonstrable experience.Experience designing and implementing client facing Microsoft solutions, particularly identity and access management (Microsoft Entra ID) and endpoint management (Microsoft Intune).Strong understanding of governance, security, and compliance controls relevant to identity and endpoint management (e.g., Conditional Access, Multi Factor Authenticator, device compliance, baseline policies, and secure configuration).Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both, technical and non-technical audiencesA passion for learning new technologies and staying updated on the latest trends and best practices in Microsoft 365, particularly around AI and co-pilotWe Value a diverse range of skills and experiences here at the West Brom.
