About the Role

We are seeking a Microsoft Teams Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge collaboration solutions built on the Microsoft Teams platform. This role is ideal for a strategic, hands-on architect who can define and execute an architectural vision to enhance enterprise productivity and innovation.


As a key leader in the digital transformation journey, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to craft scalable, secure, and integrated Teams solutions that empower users and drive organizational success.


Key Responsibilities

Architectural Vision & Strategy

  • Define the architectural roadmap for Microsoft Teams in alignment with business and Microsoft 365 strategies.
  • Lead the design of secure, high-performance solutions including apps, bots, connectors, and integrations.
  • Establish governance models, development patterns, and best practices.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and influence future Teams platform strategy.

Solution Design & Implementation

  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions within Microsoft Teams.
  • Lead delivery from proof-of-concept to full deployment, adoption, and support.
  • Architect integrations between Teams and enterprise systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, HR).
  • Ensure compliance with security, data governance, and privacy standards.

Platform Optimization & Governance

  • Oversee Teams platform configuration, lifecycle management, and external access policies.
  • Define monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting strategies.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to maintain platform health and performance.

Technical Leadership & Mentorship

  • Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex Teams-related issues.
  • Mentor developers and engineers on Teams capabilities and development best practices.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Required Experience & Skills
  • 10+ years in IT with at least 5+ years specializing in Microsoft Teams/M365 in an architectural or leadership role.
  • Proven experience building custom Teams applications using the Microsoft Teams SDK.
  • Expertise with Azure services: Azure Functions, Azure Bot Service, Azure AD, Logic Apps, and API Management.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Graph API and Teams integrations (SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange).
  • Deep knowledge of Teams Voice solutions (Direct Routing, Operator Connect).
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting for Teams and M365 automation.
  • Experience in secure, regulated environments and with IAM via Azure AD.
  • Familiarity with the Power Platform: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI.
  • Excellent communicator and capable of presenting to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentorship abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft certifications such as:
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Teams Application Developer Associate
  • Experience with Microsoft Viva and other collaboration platforms (e.g., Cisco, Avaya).
  • Strategic thinker with experience guiding Teams adoption within broader digital workplace initiatives.
