Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in welding and fabrication to contribute to our projects using their expertise in various welding techniques and hand tools.
Hours
08:00-17:00 Monday to Thursday, 08:00-13:00 Friday
Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding on a variety of metal components, including sheet metal and fabricated parts, adhering to technical specifications and safety standards.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively during fabrication and assembly processes.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine weld locations and specifications.
Assist in the assembly of welded components, ensuring proper fit and finish.
Conduct quality checks on completed welds to ensure they meet industry standards and project requirements.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Requirements
Proven experience in MIG welding.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment used in metalworking.
Mechanical knowledge related to assembly processes and material handling.
Ability to work accurately with basic maths for measurements and calculations during fabrication.
Experience working with sheet metal, structural steel, or similar materials is preferred.
Good understanding of safety procedures related to welding and fabrication environments.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or schematics effectively.
