MIG Welder – Permanent Role

Location: Stockport

Shifts: Days, but you’ll need to be flexible to work occasional nights as required by the business

Days: Mon–Thu 7:00am–3:30pm, Fri 7:00am–12:30pm

Nights: Mon–Thu 9:15pm–6:55am Pay: £19.22/hour (Days) | £25.56/hour (Nights)

Join a respected engineering firm in Stockport, known for producing high-integrity fabrications for safety-critical sectors including nuclear & defence. This is a permanent opportunity with long-term security and strong earning potential. We’re looking for experienced MIG Welders with a Level 3 Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Welding or Fabrication. You’ll need to be confident reading technical drawings and completing associated fabrication and fitting tasks.

Key requirements:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Welding/Fabrication

Strong MIG welding skills – experience with either aluminium or armoured steel/other thick-gauge materials is highly desirable

Ability to work to tight tolerances in high-integrity environments

Willingness to work either days or nights (33% premium on night shifts)
