We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Welder to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and maintaining high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Weld high-quality components, including setting up and operating a range of tooling and machinery (e.g., TIG, MIG welders, punches, and associated equipment)
Prepare, clean, cut, burn, and weld components in line with specifications
Set up, measure, and assemble parts, selecting the appropriate welding methods
Accurately read and interpret welding drawings and technical specifications
Complete work documentation and maintain accurate production records
Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to Health & Safety procedures and legal regulations
Ensure equipment is used correctly by following operating instructions
Troubleshoot breakdowns and carry out preventative maintenance where required
Meet quality targets and consistently maintain high workmanship standards
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum Level 2 NVQ, Indentured Apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification
Previous experience in a similar welding role
Recognised welding qualification desirable
Strong numeracy skills
Essential: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Ability to work independently and use initiative
Must have their own mask and safety boots
