Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable MIG Welder / Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in welding and fabrication, with a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of technical drawings. This role is critical in ensuring high-quality production and adherence to engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding to a high standard on a variety of materials, primarily mild steel.
Read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans accurately.
Measure, cut, and assemble components in line with specifications.
Carry out fabrication tasks including drilling, grinding, and finishing.
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and tolerances.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations.
Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines.
Essential Requirements
Proven previous experience in welding and fabrication is essential.
Strong MIG welding skills with the ability to produce clean, consistent welds.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings is critical for success in this role.
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Knowledge of workshop tools and machinery.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
Desirable Skills
Experience working with different metals and thicknesses.
Relevant welding or fabrication qualifications/certifications.
Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
