Client Information
PSR are currently working with a well-established and growing building services provider operating across the UK. Our client specialises in the service, maintenance and installation of commercial heating systems within warehouses, offices and retail environments. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to join their team.
Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer - Roles & Responsibilities
Service, maintain and carry out reactive works on commercial heating systems and associated pipework.
Diagnose, identify and rectify faults across a range of commercial and domestic heating systems including boilers, burners and warm air heaters.
Attend planned maintenance visits, reactive breakdowns and emergency call-outs.
Complete service reports via company-provided tablet/app.
Carry out small plumbing and heating installations where required.
Travel across the UK to various commercial sites including warehouses, offices and retail premises (occasional lodging required).
Participate in the on-call rota (call-out fees and premium rates apply).
Adhere to company Health & Safety procedures at all times.
Work independently as well as part of a wider engineering team.
Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer - Requirements
Valid Commercial Gas qualifications:
ICPN1 - Install first-fix commercial pipework
TPCP1A - Testing and purging commercial pipework (low pressure)
CORT1 - Installation of commercial overhead plaque/tube heaters
COCN1 - Core commercial natural gas
CDGA1 - Commissioning and servicing direct-fired appliances
Domestic Gas qualifications (desirable).
Full UK driving licence.
Experience with air handling and ventilation systems (desirable).
IPAF and/or PASMA certification (desirable - training can be provided).
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability.
Excellent timekeeping and communication skills.
Highly motivated with a commitment to high standards of workmanship.
Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer - Benefits
£40,000 - £60,000 per annum (commensurate with experience and capability).
Weekly pay.
37.5 hours per week guaranteed.
Regular overtime paid at premium rates.
Core working hours Monday - Friday.
Door-to-door travel time paid.
Company van and fuel card.
Lodge cards provided (Premier Inn & Travelodge).
Company mobile phone / PDA.
24 days holiday plus bank holidays.
