Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Gas Engineer to join a globally recognised Facilities Management company covering the Bristol, Gloucester, Swindon, and Oxford region. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer who enjoys working across multiple high profile sites in the financial and public sector.

This role offers a great balance of planned and reactive work giving the successful candidate a varied and engaging workload, with the opportunity of strong career progression.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across commercial gas, heating, and HVAC systems. The successful Gas Engineer will ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely while maintaining high service standards.

Key responsibilities include:

Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance on commercial gas, heating, and HVAC systems

*

Diagnosing and repairing faults on plant and systems, including basic electrical fault finding

*

Completing new installations and both major and minor repairs to gas and heating systems

*

Responding to callouts as part of a 1 in 10 call-out rota

*

Supporting wider building maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and fabric tasks

*

Monitoring contractors and issuing Permits to Work where required

*

Ensuring plant rooms, workshops, and storage areas remain clean and organised

*

Ensuring all gas equipment meets required performance and safety standards

*

Maintaining accurate service records and completing documentation on time

*

Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including risk assessments and COSHH

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

*

Experience working as a Gas Engineer within commercial or facilities maintenance environments

*

Commercial Gas qualifications (CDGA1, CIGA1, CODNCO1, CORT1)

*

Full UK driving licence
