The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Grounds Maintenance Operative based in Tower Hamlets . This is a full time permanent role working 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6.00am to 4.00pm, with a start date in April.
\n
The rate of pay is £13.45 per hour , equating to £33,571.20 per annum .
\n
This is a mobile position covering commercial sites including business parks, residential developments, and public spaces within the Tower Hamlets area. You will work as part of a two-person mobile team alongside a Grounds Foreman, maintaining each site to a consistently high standard.
\n
Due to the structure of the team, a full UK driving licence is essential, as you will be required to drive and cover routes when needed.

This role offers structured working hours, consistent outdoor work, and long-term stability.
\n
Key Responsibilities
\n
\n Carry out grounds maintenance across multiple commercial sites
\n
Complete pruning, hedge cutting, grass cutting, watering, and seasonal planting
\n
Undertake strimming, edging, litter picking, and weed control
\n
Empty bins and manage waste appropriately
\n
Travel safely between sites as part of the working day
\n
Work closely with the Grounds Foreman to complete daily schedules
\n
Carry out site inspections and report hazards or equipment issues
\n
Follow COSHH guidelines and Risk Assessments at all times
\n
Maintain tools, machinery, and vehicles in safe working order
\n
Complete timesheets and basic site documentation
\n
\n
Requirements
\n
\n Previous commercial grounds maintenance experience
\n
Full clean UK driving licence essential
\n
Ability to work effectively within a two-person mobile team
\n
Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused approach
\n
Good communication skills
\n
PA1 and PA6 but not essential
\n
\n
