Mobile HGV Technician Location: London Salary: £50,000 - £55,500 Contract Type: Permanent | Full-Time

The Role We’re looking for an experienced Mobile HGV Technician with strong knowledge of municipal vehicles to join our client’s team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for keeping refuse trucks, sweepers, and other municipal vehicles in safe, roadworthy condition.

What You’ll Be Doing

Carrying out inspections, servicing, MOT prep and repairs on municipal vehicles.

Diagnosing and fixing electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

*

Ensuring vehicles are compliant with all safety and legal standards

*

Completing accurate paperwork and using fleet systems to log work

*

Supporting with pre-delivery inspections of new fleet vehicles

What You’ll Bring

*

At least 5 years’ experience working on HGVs / municipal vehicles

*

Solid knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems

*

A full HGV Category C licence (Class 2)

*

Strong organisation skills and the ability to work on your own initiative

*

Previous experience supervising or leading people would be an advantage
