This is a customer-facing position where professionalism, technical expertise, and pride in your work are key.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out diagnostic analysis, repairs, and preventative maintenanceProvide a high-quality, customer-facing technical support serviceComplete PDI inspections and planned maintenance activitiesRepair vehicles and equipment on-site or at depot in line with manufacturer and company standardsHandover equipment to customers and demonstrate safe operation proceduresAccurately complete all paperwork including job sheets, inspection reports, and calibrationsAct as a professional ambassador for the business at all timesPerform mechanical maintenance, testing, and repairs on:Hydraulic systemsPneumatic systemsPumps, compressors, motors, and ancillary equipmentRead and interpret schematic drawings Skills & Experience RequiredProven experience in auto-electrical fault diagnosis and repairConfident using electronic diagnostic equipmentHands-on experience with HGVs or specialist vehiclesBackgrounds considered:Mobile HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic or workshop basedPSV Technician / Bus MechanicHeavy Plant FitterDesirable - Experience working with Distribution Tractors, Ro-Ro Tractors and other specialist vehicles.Additional RequirementsFull UK Driving LicenceStrong work ethic and positive attitudeWillingness to learn and develop new skillsCity & Guilds Level 3 - Vehicle Mechanical & Electronic Systems (Maintenance & Repair) or equivalent (advantageous)What's On OfferCompetitive salary up to £44,000 plus overtimeSecure, full-time position with a market-leading companySupportive team environment with ongoing trainingExcellent benefits package including:Company pension schemeCycle-to-work schemeFree or subsidised travelWellness programmeOngoing training and clear career progressionFor more information about the Mobile HGV Technician role, please contact Sophie Ranson at E3 Recruitment.JBRP1_UKTJ
