Mobile Multi Skilled Electrical Engineer\n\nContract: Banking\n\nLocation: Manchester, M3 3AP (travel across the North West and Yorkshire)\n\nHours of work: 40\n\nContract Type: Permanent\n\nWe are seeking a skilled and proactive Mobile Multi-Skilled Electrical Engineer to deliver high-quality electrical and building services maintenance across a commercial property portfolio.\n\n​The role involves travel across the North West and Yorkshire, with a company van provided.\n\nJob Description\n\nYou will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, electrical testing, and ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Carry out electrical PPM and reactive maintenance tasks as issued via the helpdesk, ensuring works are completed within set timeframes and customer expectations are exceeded.\n\n * Undertake electrical fault finding, repair, installation, inspection, and testing across commercial properties.\n\n * Provide support with multi-skilled building services maintenance, including basic fabric, HVAC, mechanical, and associated tasks.\n\n * Participate in the call-out rota, providing out-of-hours emergency response as required.\n\n * Support the Spinningfields site as a cover engineer when required.\n\nAct as the Authorised Person for contractor control, including:​\n\n * Monitoring contractor activities and workmanship\n\n * Ensuring compliance with relevant health & safety standards\n\n * Issuing and managing Permits to Work\n\nComplete all documentation and reports accurately, including compliance and testing records.\n\nProfessional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications\n\n * Significant experience in electrical building services maintenance, including fault finding, installation, and inspection/testing.\n\n * Proven background delivering reactive and planned (PPM) maintenance within commercial environments.\n\n * Experience working within Facilities Management (FM) or building services sectors.\n\n * City & Guilds 2230 Level 3, 2330 Level 3, or NVQ 2356 / 2357 in Electrical Installation.\n\n * AM1 and AM2.\n\n * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations – BS 7671:2018 (A2 amendment desirable).\n\n * Full UK Driving Licence (essential for mobile role).\n\nCandidates with the following will be at an advantage:\n\n * City & Guilds Inspection & Testing (2394/2395 or equivalent).\n\n * JIB accreditation.\n\n * IPAF and/or PASMA certification.\n\n * Completion of a recognised electrical apprenticeship.\n\nThe Company\n\nISS is a world-leading workplace and facility management company, connecting people and places to make the world work better.
