Motor Vehicle Technician - Kent We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, an established and expanding automotive business, for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Engine Builder to join their professional workshop team. This opportunity has arisen due to business growth and a replacement requirement. This is an excellent role for a highly skilled mechanic with strong engine rebuild experience who is looking for a stable, long-term position within a respected and growing company.
The role will primarily focus on engine rebuilding, which will account for approximately 70% of the workload. The remaining 30% will involve general servicing, brake work, and other mechanical repairs. Key Responsibilities Complete full engine rebuilds, including disassembly, inspection, and reassembly Carry out timing belt and timing chain replacements Diagnose engine faults and mechanical issues Perform general servicing and maintenance Carry out brake repairs and replacements Maintain high standards of workmanship and workshop safety Candidate Requirements Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, or Engine Builder Extensive engine rebuild experience is essential Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team
