Job Description
Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)\n\nLocation: Brighton\n\nShift Pattern: 3 day week / 4 day week rotating \n\nSalary: £40,000 - £42,000 + Overtime & Benefits\n\nPosition: Permanent\n\nThe Role\n\nAre you an electrically-driven engineer who thrives on variety? We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team. You'll be the go-to person for ensuring our facility stays at peak performance, tackling everything from complex PLC faults to routine mechanical wear-and-tear.\n\nThis isn't just a "fix it when it breaks" role.
You will play a key part in our Preventative Maintenance (PPM) strategy and drive continuous improvement projects across the site.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nElectrical Mastery: Fault finding, repair, and installation of electrical systems, including motors, inverters, and control panels.\n\nMechanical Support: Handling bearings, chains, pneumatics, and hydraulics when the job requires it.\n\nPPM & Reactive: Executing scheduled maintenance to minimize downtime and responding rapidly to emergency breakdowns.\n\nCompliance: Ensuring all work meets 18th Edition (or latest) standards and strict Health & Safety protocols.\n\nWhat You'll Bring\n\nQualifications: Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).\n\nCertification: 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.\n\nMindset: A logical approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.\n\nAdaptability: Comfortable working with both modern automated tech and older "legacy" machinery.\n\nRandstad CPE values and promotes equality.
