MULTI-SKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER Job Title: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Location: Glasgow Salary: £44,000 – £50,000 Shift: 4 on 4 off (Nights) The Role A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established, fast-paced manufacturing site in Glasgow.You'll be part of a supportive and close-knit engineering team, working within a business that genuinely values its engineers, invests in development, and promotes from within.This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in keeping production running efficiently, minimising downtime, and driving continuous improvement across site.Key Responsibilities Electrical and mechanical fault finding on production machineryReactive maintenance to minimise downtimePlanned preventative maintenance (PPM)Supporting continuous improvement initiativesWorking closely with production teams to drive efficiency Sector Factory Maintenance / ManufacturingOpen to Background We are open to engineers from varied backgrounds, including: Manufacturing / factory environmentsForces / ex-military (REME, Navy, RAF engineering)Industrial, plant, or heavy engineering environments If you have strong fault-finding skills and the right attitude, training can be provided to bridge any gaps into manufacturing.Non-Negotiables Multi-skilled maintenance experience (electrical & mechanical)Hands-on experience with PPM and breakdown maintenanceStrong fault-finding and problem-solving ability Requirements Engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical – NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)Electrical and mechanical fault-finding experienceAbility to work in a fast-paced environment Desirable PLC fault finding (Siemens / Allen Bradley – inputs & outputs)Previous manufacturing experience What's in it for you?
