Job Description

One of Clients, a successful food manufacturing company is seeking an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a 4 on 4 off rotating Days & Nights shift pattern.\n\nAs a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll work alongside two other Engineers on shift to ensure safety compliance, effective workload prioritisation, and consistently high production standards. You’ll play a key role in reducing downtime, improving processes, and supporting continuous improvement across the site.\n\nBenefits:\n\n * Salary c£50k\n\n * 4 on 4 off 12-hour Days & Nights (6am–6pm / 6pm–6am)\n\n * Life Insurance\n\n * Performance Bonus scheme\n\n * Free parking, drinks and subsidised canteen\n\n * Company contributory pension scheme (matched up to 6%)\n\n * Ideal for Engineers based in South Nottingham, North Leicestershire or Melton Mowbray\n\nKey responsibilities:\n\n * Lead, guide and mentor your shift team to achieve operational excellence\n\n * Deliver effective maintenance to ensure consistent, high-quality production\n\n * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to reduce downtime\n\n * Monitor processes and equipment, reporting variances and taking corrective action\n\n * Respond swiftly to unplanned breakdowns and maintenance events\n\n * Support engineering projects, installations, and equipment modifications\n\nExperience and skills required:\n\n * Qualified electrical engineer with City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3\n\n * Multi-skilled with both mechanical and electrical expertise (electrical bias )\n\n * Apprenticeship trained (ideally)\n\n * Proactive problem-solver who supports production and continuous improvement\n\n * Experience in food manufacturing would be advantageous
