As a Maintenance Engineer at our Wrexham site, you'll play a key part in supporting high-automation warehousing and material handling systems, ensuring operational efficiency through a blend of planned maintenance and responsive engineering support.
\n\n The Role: \n\n
You'll be working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment, supporting fully automated machinery and distribution infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

\n
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and responsive repairs on automated systems
\n
\n
\n
PLC fault finding and working with sensors, metal detectors, conveyors, belts, bearings, and motors
\n
\n
\n
Fault finding and basic repair of electrical and mechanical components
\n
\n
\n
Site facilities and infrastructure maintenance as required
\n
\n
\n
Monitoring and management of CMMS systems
\n
\n
\n
Ensuring health & safety standards are met across all engineering activities
\n
\n
\n
Supervising and coordinating with on-site contractors
\n
\n
\n
Using Permit to Work systems for compliance and safety
\n
\n
\n\n ️ What You'll Need: \n\n
\n
\n
Time-served apprenticeship and formal electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds)
\n
\n
\n
Experience in an automated or distribution/warehouse environment highly desirable
\n
\n
\n
Strong skills in:

\n
\n
PLC fault finding
\n
\n
\n
Conveyors, belts, and drive systems
\n
\n
\n
Pneumatics and hydraulics
\n
\n
\n
Sensors and metal detectors
\n
\n
\n
Motors, gearboxes, and bearings
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
Ability to work independently and within a team
\n
\n
\n
IT literacy and familiarity with digital maintenance systems
\n
\n
\n
Good level of written and spoken English
\n
\n
\n
Knowledge of refrigeration systems and basic food hygiene (advantageous, not essential)

\n
