Location: Brechin Salary: Up to £45,500 per year + On Call Allowance/Overtime Hours: Days - Monday to Friday, Week 1 - 04:30 - 13:30 / Week 2 - 13:00 until 22:00 (1 in 4 Saturday and on call Paid at overtime and on call allowancе) Contract: Full-time, permanent
\nThe Opportunity\n
Our client, a well-established food manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team. This role focuses on maintaining and improving Food/FMCG machinery and associated plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient production.
\nKey Responsibilities\n
\n \n Carry out electrical and mechanical fault-finding, repairs, and planned maintenance on Food/FMCG machines Etc.
\n
\n
Experince Working On Conveyors, Hydraulics & Pneumatics Etc. \n
\n Diagnose and repair electrical control systems including sensors, relays, contactors, safety circuits, and inverter drives.
\n
\n
\n Keep accurate maintenance records and contribute to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Continuous Improvement (CI) projects.
\n
\n
\n Work closely with production and Technical teams to prioritise tasks and minimise downtime.
\n
\n
\nSkills & Experience\n
\n \n Minimum time served apprentice trained /HNC or equivalent qualification in engineering (minimum 2 years work experience out with training period)
\n
\n
\n Strong electrical competence with good mechanical knowledge (hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical fitting).
\n
\n
Welding and fabrication skills would be desirable but not essential. \n
\n Proven experience in a manufacturing environment experience .
\n
\n
\n Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and machine manuals.
\n
\n
\n Competence in fault-finding, sensors, drives, and industrial control systems.
\n
\n
\n Proactive problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities.
\n
\n
Ability to be flexible in your approach to work. Ability to work on your own or as part of a team \n
\nPackage\n
\n \n Salary up to £45,500 depending on experience.
\n

\n Overtime paid at 1.5x
