Location: Chesterfield Salary: £34,000 + Overtime (1.5x) Hours: 38 per week - Days Benefits: 3% Pension, Life Assurance, Overtime Available, Flexible Day Off in Lieu

An established and forward-thinking manufacturing business with over 40 years of industry expertise is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join its on-site engineering team. The company operates within a specialist plastics manufacturing environment and continues to invest heavily in its people, plant, and processes to ensure high-quality output and operational excellence.
\n\nThe Role\n
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be part of a small on-site team of two engineers responsible for maintaining production machinery and ensuring minimal downtime across the site.

Key responsibilities include:
\n
\n \n Providing electrical maintenance across all production machinery
\n
\n
\n Carrying out both reactive breakdown repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
\n
\n
\n Maintaining equipment in optimum operating condition
\n
\n
\n Attending breakdowns during working hours and participating in an on-call rota
\n
\n
\n Fault finding on:
\n
\n \n Sensors, relays, and motors
\n
\n
\n PLC systems
\n
\n
\n Hydraulics and pneumatics
\n
\n
\n Moulding machinery
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n
\n \n Recognised electrical qualifications
\n
\n
\n Proven experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
\n
\n
\n Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
\n
\n
\n Ability to work independently and hit the ground running
\n
\n
\n A proactive and reliable approach to maintenance
\n
\n
\n
Experience within plastics or rotational moulding environments would be advantageous but not essential.
\n\nWhat's on Offer\n
\n \n £34,000 basic salary
\n
\n
\n Overtime paid at 1.5x
\n
\n
\n 3% company pension contribution

\n 38-hour working week (days)
\n
\n
\n 6-hour Saturday shift with the choice of any day off during the week

\n
\n Ongoing training and structured shadowing
\n
\n
