Our client are specialists in their industry sector, they are looking to recruit a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis.
It is essential candidates are flexible to work a 3 shift pattern.
The Job you’ll do
* Diagnosis and repair of special purpose equipment and make sure it works correctly.
* Formulation and execution of effective (value added) planned maintenance (PM) to prevent disruption of activities.
* Prioritisation, validation, and completion of maintenance requests.
* Control of Inventory using engineering database.
* Pilot key equipment using maintenance key performance indicators (KPI’s) to formulate and execute improvement action plans.
* Mentor and support to maintenance apprentices.
* Capture of comprehensive maintenance data for equipment history and ‘lessons learnt’ purposes.
* PLC fault finding using PLCs for remedial actions and process improvements.
* Coordinate with maintenance engineering department for external modifications and future installations.
* Support improvements identified through the Red Tag and 6S process.
* Shift handovers must be completed.
* Support a culture of change and improvement within the engineering department.
About You
* Must have served a recognised Apprenticeship and Educated to HNC or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering with a minimum of 3 year`s post Apprenticeship experience with strong mechanical and electrical maintenance experience in heavy plant and machinery.
* Must be able to read Mechanical and Electrical drawings for fault finding purposes.
* Having experience of working with hydraulics and pneumatics is a must.
* Basic fabrication skills are advantageous.
* The use of testing equipment.
* Knowledge PLCs ladder logic and structured text.
* Good IT skills using Microsoft packages Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* PLC, Siemens S7 Advantageous.
* Mechanical, hydraulic pneumatic maintenance and fault-finding skills
* Very strong with electrical fault-finding using HMI fault codes.
* Root cause analysis.
* 18th Edition wiring regulations.
* Be flexible to work 3 shifts including nights, as well as overtime when required.
