Location: Cardiff
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday – Rotating Shift
(6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm – alternating weekly)
Salary: Circa £43,000

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a growing manufacturing business in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity to join a site that is investing heavily in its future, with a major expansion and large-scale engineering project planned for 2026.

You’ll be joining a well-established engineering team in a hands-on role, supporting site reliability, continuous improvement, and upcoming capital projects.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across manufacturing and production equipment

* Diagnose and fault-find on electrical and mechanical systems

* Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives

* Assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery

* Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime

* Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety and site procedures

* Accurately record maintenance activity using the site CMMS

The Ideal Candidate:

* Proven experience as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or industrial environment

* Strong electrical or mechanical bias (with multi-skilled capability)

* Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent)

* A proactive, team-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills
