The Role:
A leading food manufacturing business in the Blackpool area is currently recruiting a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer due to significant recent investment and multiple multi-million-pound projects scheduled to commence in 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and forward-thinking manufacturing operation during a period of growth and modernisation.
The successful Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for providing electrical and mechanical maintenance support within a fast-paced, highly automated food production environment, working on a Panama shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities:
The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:
* Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on food manufacturing machinery
* Electrical and mechanical fault-finding across processing and packaging equipment
* Working with PLC-controlled systems, motors, drives, sensors, and automation
* Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
* Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new machinery as part of upcoming capital projects
* Ensuring all maintenance work is completed in line with health, safety, and food hygiene standards
