My client are looking for a reliable and skilled Multi Skilled Operative with minor electrical skills to perform a variety of tasks, including maintenance, repairs, and minor installations. The Multi Skilled Operative will have a strong background in handyman services, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in a range of skills, including carpentry, plumbing, and minor electrical work.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, including carpentry, plumbing, and minor electrical work
Carry out minor installations, such as lighting and socket outlets, under the guidance of a qualified electrician
Troubleshoot and resolve minor electrical issues, such as replacing fuses and bulbs
Conduct regular inspections to identify and report any maintenance or repair needs
Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to complete tasks and projects
Maintain accurate records of work completed, including time sheets and job reports
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
Provide excellent customer service, responding to client requests and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
Requirements:
2+ years of experience as a handyman or in a related trade (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, electrical)
Minor electrical skills, including knowledge of electrical safety and basic electrical principles
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
Physical stamina to lift, carry, and manoeuvre heavy equipment and materials
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if required)
High school diploma or equivalent required; trade certification or apprenticeship an asset
