About the vacancy:

We are looking to hire looking to hire a Multi Skilled Wet Trader to support the Maintenance team.

In this role you will be responsible for repairing and improving homes by completing plastering, tiling, flooring, and other wet-trade tasks, plus some basic plumbing and carpentry, while delivering a safe, professional, and customer-focused service.

*Please be aware that a full UK driving licence is required for this role*

Specifically, in the role you will:

• Undertake Wet Trade work including plastering, floor-tiling, vinyl floor laying, screeding, brickwork, blockwork, glazed tiling, patch roof work, guttering, drainage, and other associated tasks.
• Undertake multi-skilled ancillary tasks associated with the primary role objective, where and when required. Specifically, the multi-skilling elements of the role will be inclusive of but not limited to:

  - Basic carpentry e.g., works would involve removing/refitting boxing, replacing bath panels, fitting ply to walls for radiators and replacing small sections of skirting.
  - Basic plumbing e.g., removing, replacing, and reconnecting sinks. Working with copper pipework and plastic solvent weld waste and undertaking safe isolation of water.
  - Sheet flooring e.g., laying non-slip safety flooring and cap and cove.
  - Basic groundworks e.g., fitting washing lines and levelling slabs.
• Ensure all repairs are completed within the specified time to an acceptable standard and confirm to the requirements of the current regulations and driver handbook.
• Asbestos removal (take up, bag, tag for tony to collect) and painting and decorating.
• Drive an allocated works vehicle in line with the driver handbook, to pre-inspect, identify, and obtain the resources, materials and plant required to complete a repair to the required standard.
• Accurately record work time, materials and plant used to complete a repair ensuring maximisation of resources.
• Ensure the safe use and safe storage of any plant issued reporting any defects.
• Conduct daily safety checks of the allocated works vehicle and record the findings in the appropriate manner.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders across the business internally and externally.
• To always work in a safe and appropriate manner to meet the duties and responsibilities within the Health and Safety policies and procedures of the association.
• Additional, reasonable duties as required.
