Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role involving the assembly, wiring, and build of fume cupboards and laboratory containment systems. You will:
Assemble and build fume cabinets and lab equipment Use hand and power tools for mechanical assembly Carry out electrical wiring, soldering, and basic fault finding Work from technical drawings and schematics Support testing, quality control, and final commissioning Carry out minor fabrication adjustments (drilling, fitting, alignment) Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and production standards Work collaboratively within a small, growing team
Skills & Experience
Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or workshop environments Proficiency with hand tools and power tools Good electrical knowledge (wiring, components, soldering) Ability to read technical drawings and schematics Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Good communication and teamwork abilities
Desirable
Electro-mechanical or panel wiring experience Experience with HVAC, airflow systems, or lab equipment Basic fabrication or metalwork experience
