JLL is seeking a skilled Multi-skilled Engineer to join our Workplace Management team, providing critical building operations and engineering support for a prestigious multi-media headquarters at our Shoreditch location. This role is essential to maintaining optimal building performance and ensuring exceptional workplace experiences for our client's employees and visitors.Monday-Friday 8am-5pmKey Engineering ResponsibilitiesTechnical Operations & MaintenancePerform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical and electrical equipmentExecute reactive maintenance and repair works on building services systemsConduct technical investigations and fault-finding on complex building systemsOperate and maintain UPS systems, generators, and static switchesService and repair water treatment, refrigeration, and air conditioning systemsMaintain and troubleshoot CHP (Combined Heat & Power) systemsEnsure all engineering works meet professional standards and scheduled timelinesEngineering Management & Quality ControlProduce and validate technical risk assessments and method statementsInspect and verify quality of PPM activities and engineering workmanshipGenerate technical quotations for additional engineering worksProvide technical support and guidance to engineering teams and clientsInvestigate and operate Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systemsProduce technical and situational reports as requiredSystem Compliance & SafetyEnsure all engineering activities comply with relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental legislationComplete monthly HSE audits according to company guidelines and schedulesManage safe handling, storage, and use of engineering materials and equipmentConduct accident investigations and engineering-related incident reportingEngineering Team LeadershipLead and direct team of engineering technicians and operativesConduct technical competency assessments and personal development reviewsRecruit and induct engineering personnel according to company directivesProvide technical training and skills development for engineering staffManage engineering workforce performance and motivationSubcontractor & Engineering CoordinationManage engineering subcontractor activities and contractual obligationsCoordinate complex multi-trade engineering projectsIdentify potential engineering cost savings and efficiency improvementsOversee engineering call-out rota coverage on rotating basisAttend technical meetings with clients and engineering contractorsEssential Engineering Qualifications & ExperienceCore Technical Requirements10+ years Building Services engineering experienceCity & Guilds Parts 1 & 2in electrical/mechanical disciplines or equivalent 17th or 18th Edition IEE: Wiring and InstallationcertificationIOSH Accreditedsafety qualificationTechnical competencyacross all building services systems:UPS and generator systemsStatic switches and power distributionWater treatment systemsRefrigeration and air conditioningCHP systems and energy managementEngineering Skills & CapabilitiesStrong technical problem-solving and fault-finding abilitiesAdvanced knowledge of CAFM systems operation and investigationEnhanced IT skills for engineering documentation and reportingAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsExperience with engineering project management and coordinationCompetency in producing technical risk assessments and method statementsLeadership & CommunicationProven ability to lead and motivate engineering teamsStrong communication skills across all organizational levelsExperience managing difficult technical situations and client relationshipsPro-active approach to achieving highest engineering standardsDesirable Engineering Qualifications2391 Test & InspectioncertificationIPAF(International Powered Access Federation) certificationPASMA(Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers' Association) trainingCustomer service training for technical client interactionsSecurity vetting for financial environment engineering workAbout JLL Engineering ExcellenceJoin JLL's engineering team where technical expertise meets innovative workplace solutions.
