An established engineering business based in Leominster is looking to recruit a Multiskilled Machinist to join its growing production team.
This is a hands-on role working on precision components, primarily machining aluminium using manual equipment. You'll also support assembly and bench fitting activities, playing a key part in ensuring products meet exact specifications and quality standards.
The Role
As a Multiskilled Machinist, you will machine a wide range of precision components using manual mills and lathes. You will also assemble mechanical components, working from detailed engineering drawings to produce high-quality finished parts.
Accuracy and attention to detail are critical, as you will be responsible for ensuring all components meet required tolerances and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate manual milling machines and lathes to produce precision components
- Machine aluminium materials to specification
- Carry out bench fitting and mechanical assembly tasks
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Use measurement tools to inspect and verify component accuracy
- Operate additional workshop equipment including band saws, linishers and grinders
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Support continuous improvement within the workshop
- Experience operating manual mills and lathes
- Familiarity with general manual workshop equipment
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Skilled in using measurement tools to ensure precision
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently
- CNC programming experience
- Brazing or soldering skills
- Salary £27,000 – £35,000 depending on experience
